Hood Psalms.

I’m Jason, the creator behind Hood Psalms.

The name came from my own experience with the Bible—how I connect with its stories and how I want to express them through my culture. The language, the storytelling, the feeling. I wanted to bring that connection into something people could hear and recognize in their own lives.

I started by creating faith-based AI art and videos. That was already my way of sharing something spiritual. But I felt there was more I could do with it.

People have a connection with music. They carry songs with them, come back to them, and find meaning in them. I wanted to bring that experience to what I was creating. That’s how Hood Psalms grew from visuals into music.

I write the lyrics, work on the hooks, and spend time restructuring each song until it expresses what I want to say. I use AI tools to create the music and vocals, guiding the direction and choosing what I release.

Hood Psalms is for people who are already walking in faith and people who are just beginning to explore it. My hope is that someone hears a song, connects with it, and wants to learn more about God.

That’s what I want this music to do: meet people where they are and give them a reason to keep exploring their faith.
